Denis Minamora's
Chambers Summer
Water lapping on a sun-warmed beach,
Children shouting and adult laughter,
Smells of lotion and a fragrant grill
A summer day held in amber.

study notes:
There is nothing in nature that is symmetrical.

I place my pencil and pen marks in a random manner but within the parameters of the subject.

"Edging" can help to define the borders of an object. I try not to place the lines right on the edge as I find the approximation of the edge can be more pleasing to the eye.

I don't want to outline the image, I want to give the eye a reference point.

When it comes to textures like water or sand I try to place random dashes, points and lines to create visual excitement. The eye travels to these points without knowing why.
